The Untz Challenge Runner Up:
Ryan Viser started playing the trumpet in Brazil at the age of 11. Growing up around the various beats of street drummers and the sounds of Carnival, Ryan developed a healthy appreciation for music at a very young age. Fast forward to today, and the boy from Brazil is starting to make quite a name for himself. Having spent the last 5 years rocking crowd after crowd w. Reggae powerhouse, Stiff Necked Fools, Ryan has toured around the country and shared the stage with greats such as Rebirth Brass Band, Nappy Roots, Cowboy Mouth, Bonerama, The Revivalists, and more. Being from Louisiana has given Ryan the chance to spend plenty of time in New Orleans, soaking up its rich cultural background of music and learning that funky aggressive NOLA style of playing from some of the greatest horn players in the world. Always having a love for the electronic scene, Ryan has been producing his own style of music for a good while and is now boldly combining his electronic creations and powerful trumpet style to form a unique and exciting sound. In April, Ryan's original track - Steppin Up, won Managements Choice out of 75 finalists in The Untz Challenge V, giving him his chance to shine on the stages of 6 major music festivals this Summer including Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Sonic Bloom, and Summer Camp. Get ready for a Louisiana style party y'all!!!
